I had an awesome Valentine's Day with Ryan and feel so blessed to have him in my life. He arrived at the house with beautiful roses and all kinds of goodies. We ate a nice dinner and had some strawberries dipped in chocolate that I had made for dessert. We even got a gift from my parents....lol $50 Copper River and the movie "Fireproof." So our Feb 14th went very well and I am so thankful for such an awesome man....I love you Ryan!!!
As a lot of people know I have a facebook page and get on pretty reguarly. Two Sundays ago I was listening to Ryan pratice with the band at the church. I was just thinking how cool would it be if I could find my foreign exchange students from Germany and Spain. Of course I didn't expect to find them and I DID!!!!!!!!

Bianca Mayer came to us from Germany and stayed with us for about 6 months. I was 13 years old and she was a Senior at Wren High. I talked with her through chat and she is doing well. Biancais married with a beautiful family. We are so proud of her and hope to see her again soon ;)
I also found Virginia Hortal who actually stayed with us for a year. She played soccer at Wren High and was loved by everyone. She lives in Madrid, Spain and is about the same age as me. Virginia is doing good it seems and we hope to stay in touch with her as well. My family and I have always wondered what happened to the both of them and thank God we have the connection back. I often hear memories last a lifetime and we treasure every bit with Bianca and Virginia.

On Friday February 28th, 2009 Ryan sworn into the National Guard for 6 years. He will be completing his basic and school in Ft. Leonard, Missouri as a 21B Combat Engineer. I know without a doubt Ryan will do well but I'm still really nervous and will be sad when he leaves. I will keep everyone up to date on how he is doing as he leaves April 21st. Please keep him in your prayers!!!!
Is exactly how I feel!!! You know I wake up every morning thanking God I still have a job and that I'm alive. With the crazy world we live in, everything just seems to move in such a fast pace that I feel like I'm racing through time. What better way to describe this other than it is RACING SEASON!!!!
Still to this day I can't believe my mother (of all people) raced. Yes, believe it or not she raced at Greenville Pickens and Anderson Speedway. My cousin Terry did as well and both of our families are Hugggeee NASCAR fans. It's so silly to think my little mamma driving a race car LOL....I remember I was 9-10 years old and my mother couldn't race that Saturday night so she asked my dad to do the honors. So of course like any husband would do he said "Okay no problem." To this day we still are laughing because that night she told my father "You wreck my car and I will divorce you!!!".............they have been married for 36 years this year and BTW.......He WRECKED the car (LOL)
I guess the lesson I learn in that life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes...hahaha
