"God please protect my soulmate from harm, watch over him while he is away from me, guide him with your love, give him strength to make it through this difficult time, walk beside him in times of danger and in times of happiness, give him the courage to stay strong, comfort him with the knowledge of our love and please Lord, reassure him that I will be here for him now and forever."

Racing through time.......On your Mark, Get Set, .......GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Footsteps to capture the beautiful pictures of the SNOW!!!!!!!! ......... SNOWBOUND 2009

This a picture at 7:34pm Sunday evening.....it just keeps falling.

Brittiany (my yorkie), Mom and I are enjoying the SNOW inside...... but miss Daddy!!!!!

Sitting here watching the beautiful SNOW with my mama!! We so thought it wouldn't snow with it being March and having 67 degree weather this past Friday. I'm praying for no work tomorrow (lol) sorry......I just would love to stay at home and enjoy this snow ;) My dad just landed in TN and headed to Colorado for business. We both wish he was here to see the snow but thank God for Internet and picture texting.....right??!!?? With snow falling I can't help to believe how fast 2009 is going and March is now here. So much has happened in the month of February to keep me busy and the snow was the last thing on my mind.......but I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

I had an awesome Valentine's Day with Ryan and feel so blessed to have him in my life. He arrived at the house with beautiful roses and all kinds of goodies. We ate a nice dinner and had some strawberries dipped in chocolate that I had made for dessert. We even got a gift from my parents....lol $50 Copper River and the movie "Fireproof." So our Feb 14th went very well and I am so thankful for such an awesome man....I love you Ryan!!!

As a lot of people know I have a facebook page and get on pretty reguarly. Two Sundays ago I was listening to Ryan pratice with the band at the church. I was just thinking how cool would it be if I could find my foreign exchange students from Germany and Spain. Of course I didn't expect to find them and I DID!!!!!!!!

Bianca Mayer came to us from Germany and stayed with us for about 6 months. I was 13 years old and she was a Senior at Wren High. I talked with her through chat and she is doing well. Biancais married with a beautiful family. We are so proud of her and hope to see her again soon ;)
I also found Virginia Hortal who actually stayed with us for a year. She played soccer at Wren High and was loved by everyone. She lives in Madrid, Spain and is about the same age as me. Virginia is doing good it seems and we hope to stay in touch with her as well. My family and I have always wondered what happened to the both of them and thank God we have the connection back. I often hear memories last a lifetime and we treasure every bit with Bianca and Virginia.

On Friday February 28th, 2009 Ryan sworn into the National Guard for 6 years. He will be completing his basic and school in Ft. Leonard, Missouri as a 21B Combat Engineer. I know without a doubt Ryan will do well but I'm still really nervous and will be sad when he leaves. I will keep everyone up to date on how he is doing as he leaves April 21st. Please keep him in your prayers!!!!

Is exactly how I feel!!! You know I wake up every morning thanking God I still have a job and that I'm alive. With the crazy world we live in, everything just seems to move in such a fast pace that I feel like I'm racing through time. What better way to describe this other than it is RACING SEASON!!!!

Still to this day I can't believe my mother (of all people) raced. Yes, believe it or not she raced at Greenville Pickens and Anderson Speedway. My cousin Terry did as well and both of our families are Hugggeee NASCAR fans. It's so silly to think my little mamma driving a race car LOL....I remember I was 9-10 years old and my mother couldn't race that Saturday night so she asked my dad to do the honors. So of course like any husband would do he said "Okay no problem." To this day we still are laughing because that night she told my father "You wreck my car and I will divorce you!!!".............they have been married for 36 years this year and BTW.......He WRECKED the car (LOL)

I guess the lesson I learn in that life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes...hahaha

"I Just Felt Like Runnin.....So I Ran and I Ran....and I Ran Some More" .....Forrest Gump

We just felt like running....... because we both want to be a in shape and live a healthy lifestyle.

I ran in the Run Downtown on January 24th with some friends of mine and I started to feel more motivated to run on a more consistent basis afterwards. When I was running I thought about how I enjoy putting my body in motion, the solitude, and the peace I feel. When I somewhat finished I thought I was going to be back on track. Ah, things always look so easy!!!!!! The rest of the weekend I was worn out but I felt so much better about myself and really enjoyed the run.

My motivation to run this past month has been all over the place. Some days I just want to get out there and run and other days I don't even want to think about running. I haven't been pushing myself out the door either, when I don't want to run I don't. Bad I know, but I think a break is good for the body. Or, maybe this is just how I am justifying my laziness. Plus, I need to work on some things that I have neglected because I have been so busy!!!

I signed up for the Reedy River Run in March and want to do the Cooper Run in April with my close friends. The last run reminded me of why I enjoy running on most days. It also gave me a kick, to get back to running. I'm hoping to enjoy it like I use to and see that it does make you feel better about yourself.

I do agree that to become the runner you are, you can't dwell on the runner you're not. Start with what you've got - whether it's mental, physical or just the support of your family - and then just run. There really aren't any rules about what.... Ryan and I are using the treadmill to try to keep in shape. We are both trying to eat better and stay away from so much sugar and carbs!!!!
Hopefully the next time I blog about our status we will be doing well and in shape. We can do it!

Watch this! Watch this- I'm a Lamp! Get it????.....

That's # 5 of the Top Ten Things Overheard at A Really Good Birthday Party (lol).......which I totally had this past weekend. Andrea and I both celebrated our birthdays this month and I have to admit it was the BEST Birthday Party yet!!!
We celebrated at the Hyatt downtown Greenville on Friday evening. When we arrived to the suite it was decorated in all pink and black. There were balloons everywhere, birthday celebration music and more surprises to come. Lauren did an AWESOME job in putting this shin-dig together. Andrea is very lucky to have her for a sister and I am so blessed to have her as a best friend. Luv you Lauren!!!!!!

A big thanks goes out to Tara, Summer, Kim, Robin, and Ashley for everything because I know some of them drove a good ways......THANK YOU SO MUCH ladies for coming and being apart of the celebration!!!! I couldn't ask for better friends.....luv ya'll!!!

Best friends are people who will catch you when you fall, dry your tears and tell you it will be all right, pretend to be happy just to cheer you up, never leave you by yourself, attempt to
talk to you at least once a day no matter what, make you laugh when you're sad, call back if you hang up on them, make everything you all do together into something fun no matter how boring it is, always remind you of your inside jokes, finish your sentences, think the same way you do, follow you wherever you go, stop you from doing something stupid or hurting yourself, and they're always willing to give up something that means a lot to them because they can be sure you'll always be there in return, and because to them you'll always mean more than you can imagine.
